What's happening in the cleaning world
A hoarding disorder is where a person or household acquires excessive items and stores them messily or dangerously and usually resulting in unmanageable amounts of clutter. The items can be sentimental and or of no use and of little or no monetary value.
Hoarding is a challenging condition to treat because many people who hoard do not see it as an issue, or they are unaware of how it affects others within the household or extended family.
We all believe that we can do things better than professionals. Sometimes, we cant! When it comes to professional carpet cleaning or upholstery cleaning, it is best to employ someone who knows what they are doing. The professional you decide to choose should have taken a lot of training which isn’t cheap
Unfortunately, this is not an easy question to answer as there are many factors to consider!
After a professional carpet cleaner has cleaned your carpets using a specialist extraction machine, your carpets should be slightly damp to the touch. However, the total drying time can take several hours and, depending on your carpet construction, sometimes longer.
Traffic through your home accumulates up to 20 kilos of dust and dirt in its carpets every year, which is trodden deep into the fibres. Up to 85% of this can be eliminated by vacuuming with a home vacuuming machine, but what is left behind?
Contra to belief, carpets and upholstery should not be steam cleaned!
Carpet cleaning companies that offer steam cleaning for maximum protection are misleading you by selling a product that is not available or should not be used.
When trying to remove a stain, DO NOT SCRUB; always blot white a white cloth from the outside of the stain inwards.
Remove as much as you can with the blotting cloth.
It is advisory for tenants to clean their rental property before the end of their rental agreement with their landlord. When checking your agreement, you will undoubtedly find in your terms that the property you are renting has to be left in a fit state for the next tenant, and if this has not adhered to, you may lose your securing bond as your landlord will have to employ a professional to clean after you leave.
